Week 1 - Day 3

Weigh in day:
My weight this morning was 75.2kg and I'm HAPPY!!!  That is 1.3kg down from Friday when I last weighed myself.  I can nearly guarantee that I didn't lose any at all over the weekend with the amount of food and lack or exercise so with 1.3kg over two days I think that is great.
I can't believe the great results everyone is achieving in these two days, it is great to see!  BUT...me being me then gets a little disappointed that I ONLY lost 1.3kg.  I have to get away from those thoughts and be positive!

Exercise today:
MORNING:
Bike to work
35min walk/jog
10min stepper
40min bike
stretch
1094cals burnt!

That means I've met my 1000cal goal for today, and I still need to ride the bike home tonight which will give me an extra 150cals burnt I think.
Tonight is my first red flag day as well, with a friend coming over for dinner.  I still think I'll be within my 1200cals though as I've been very organised.  We're going to have the chicken & tarragon tonight.  She's bringing wine too, but as I'm teaching in the morning (cycle class) I have a good excuse to only have one small glass if any at all.  The friend is really understanding and I don't think it will be a problem at all.

I'll update with calories for the rest of the day tomorrow.

EVENING:
Bike home - 168cals

Overall today burnt 1252cals

All is well :)  Bring on the next week!!!

  1. Great result - slow and steady! I did the chicken and tarragon last night and it was yummy.

Following those of you with HRMs... I really must get one. Are they waterproof? (for swimming.) I also cycle, so want one that's good for that - you're happy with yours?

  2. Hi Tracey,
Yes I'm using my Polar F11 HRM, (I also a Garmin ForeRunner 405 with a GPS but I use that for running). The Polar HRM calculates HR, Avg HR, Max HR, calories burnt which is really what I'm using it for during thie challenge. I highly recommend the Polar, they have good waurantee too and great service if you ever need to replace battery or have any problems with it.
    Cheers,
    Rell

  3. Thanks Rell - that's pretty much all I'm going to want it for I think. I don't think I really need a GPS. I'll have to look into it.. and see what the credit card can stand...
