Week 5 - Friday

This morning was a perfect morning for a run but my body just couldn't handle it today so I stuck to the plan of doing weights and some cardio in the gym.  Felt very lethargic riding to the gym and took it easy today for a change :)  The weekend is going to be my first real red flag weekend as we're going away with family and staying in Nagambie tonight and tomorrow night.  I haven't been involved in the planning so just have to take things as it comes.  We're meeting up for lunch's, dinners etc and doing touristy things so I'm going to use this weekend as a practice run for how life is going to throw some twists and turns and I understand that I can't have full control over what goes into my mouth (i.e. plan ahead of time) all the time.  Instead I'm going to not make any rash decisions, just choose wisely with what is offered, take healthy snacks as I normally do anyway and drink lots of water.  All will be fine.

MORNING:
Ride to work
30min recumbent bike
15min XT
15min stationary bike
Weights program
Abs and stretch and physio exercises
Cals burnt: 677

EVENING:
Ride home from work
Cals burnt: 157

TOTAL CALS BURNT: 834

The plan for the weekend is to either get a run in one day that is longer than an hour (alternativing with walking), or get two shorter runs in on both days.  The first is preferable so that I get a rest day in and my body recovers but we'll just see how things go with the food intake, timing etc.
All will be great, my mind is in the right place to take this on and I'm going to be proud of myself when I get home on Sunday night :)
